This range of products have been engineered & tested to these standards. The rigorous large missile impact test involves shooting a 8ft long 2×4 at the product from a cannon. The glass must break, but it has to stay in the frame to resist positive & negative wind & water pressures, that simulate category 5 hurricane forces. This product has a robust 3 ¼” deep frame with aluminum reinforcement. The glass is secured to the frame using DOW 995 structural silicone. All hardware is of the highest quality & is certified for use in the product.
